Having supported and spent literally thousands of rand with Glenashley Hardware over the past twenty odd years I was extremely disappointed when I was told by a senior staff member whom I have known from day one to fetch 10c from my car to avoid being given R9.90 in change.
On commenting that business must really be bad if they cannot afford to write off 10c I was told that the till must balance at the end of the day.
Like it or leave it!! I have chosen to leave it and will never purchase any goods there in future.
It is sad when years of loyalty is thrown in your face for a paltry 10c.
