Sim swap messup

Vodacom called me to sell me an upgrade.
Iphone5 delivered on monday 4th march
On tuesday 5th march i called Vodacom to do the simswap to activate the new phone & im told the sim is not an upgrade sim & i must go into store & get new sim.
This is unacceptable please resolve
