I have a data account, Number 0820568208, which cost R149 per month and have a R 50 call limit. My total Account has a R 2500 monthly limit on.
However I got hit with a bill just on the one number, 0820568208, of R2332.43 for the month of February 2013. Despite exceeding the call limit by R 2133.43, none of the protection was affected. On enquiry I was simply told that the account is not cut off in a session. The total excess explained is R 1915. Ref S3-SH32P-PZYUP
The only suggestion was that I move it to a Top-up contract, AT R200 PER MONTH MORE (R4800 over contract period) AND THIS DOES NOT CUT THE POSSIBILITY OF IT HAPENING AGAIN.
I effect it means the call limit is a farce and money making scheme.
I have not been able to get any positive feedback from Vodacom whatsoever, despite numerous call and emails.
Improve your service by also protecting your customers against unaffordable accounts.
