I have a data account which I took out for R149/m. I have a few extra data cards linked to this account. as i dont have complete controll over the usage on this account i set a maximum limit of R50 over contract value. I have been using data account for about 18mths now but just waiting for it to expire as i dont really have a use for it. One of the cards is in my tablet, one is in a 3g wifi router and one my wife uses with a 3G dongle.
This month my cell phone gets blocked. when i call to investigate im told i have reached my credit limit on my data account of R1990 for last monthe and R1990 for this month. As my accounts are linked both accounts are locked.
I have made no less than 10calls to vodacom and been bounced between accounts, costomer service, and data services. I have about 4 reference numbers and still no resolution. everyone i speak to achnologes that there is a limit set on the account and that it will auto softblock when it reaches R200.
I have a smart advanced cell phone contract and therefore have over 600 free minutes and 1.4gb data to use, but this too is blocked. I travel a lot for work and my phone is of utmost importance both for business and for safety
