Vodacom
Negligiance

On the 27th September 2011, I have signed the application for insurance for my Blackberry Curve 8520 the same time as I did my upgrade. This applications was never send to the Insurance company. My phone got on the 21/02/2013.When I phoned Vodacom (111) to blacklist this phone, they informed me that there is no insurance policy in place for this phone. I phoned the Vodacom in The Grove, the confirmed that this was the case. I then phoned the Vodacom in Brooklyn where I did the upgrade, I then spoke to the branch manager - Craig. He requested the documentation from their head office. On 25/02/2013 I phoned him to check what is going on, Wayne said that all documentation was in order for the insurance application. The person who did the upgrade neglected to send the insurance application to the insurance company. Me and my husband did our upgrades and insurance applications the same day and with the same person, his was done from the start and not mine. It is not my work to check if Craig's employees is doing their work and surely they receive a commission on this. Craig informed me that I need to R1182.00 and then he will give me a new phone. Now I must pay for a mistake.
