I have upgrade my contract through Rewardsco last year who is supposed to be an approved Vodacom dealer. When I upgrade my contract and phone I also upgrade my insurance to the amount I was advised would be sufficient should something happen to my phone. To my suprise when I wanted to claim from my insurance through vodacom last year I was informed that my insurance was not enough to replace my phone for the exact phone I had. I immediatly phoned Rewardsco to lodge a complaint and for them to investigate the matter. This was on the 13th of December 2012. I was told they will contact me within 5 days with feedback. I have since then phoned them several times to follow up just to be told they will get back to me. This has been going on for more than a month now. It is very frustrating because the lady who did the insurance for me clearly didnt know what she was doing and has given me the incorrect advise. I have been inform that the FAIS act governs insurance and I am in the process to take this up with the Ombudsman for short term insurance because what has happend to me can not be legal
