I upgraded from Blackberry 9800 to Samsung S3 in Nov 2012.
25 October 2013 - My phone was, i went through the whole procedure of case numbers and blacklisting. On the 26 Oct, i phoned the insurance side of vodacom to submit the claim, (since i have always had my insurance through Vodacom it's just more convenient that way), then i was told by the insurance lady that i am only covered for R2500 - Fuming i asked her how can that be? In store the day i upgraded i asked the consultant to please make sure the Samsung S3 is insured. He confirmed that everything is in place just for me to find out almost a year later he never upgraded my insurance bracket.
I went in store on Sunday 27 Oct 2013 to sort this out. I was told what i already knew and said that they will do what they can to help me regarding this matter.
On the 30 Oct i was phoned to say R6000 must be paid before phone will be replaced and they will pay half and i must pay the other half. To me even this arrangement is unacceptable. WHY must i pay for mistake that has been made by someone who didn't listen when upgrade took place! They said there's nothing to prove i asked for insurance so they can't help me.
