Ask for help and get none!

I emailed mtn's response centre, telling them my blackberry is 13 months old and the scroll button has broken, I asked them if my phone is still under guarentee, and where is the closest mtn shop to swartruggens! I got the following reply from them -

Please book your handset into a mtn shop

-firstly this doesn't say where the closest mtn shop is, so I just went to rustenburg. Secondly I assumed that my phone is still under guarentee as she just said to bring it in.
- I ended up driving all the way there for nothing, apparently I need my purchase receipt from december 2011! (Not like vodacom where they can just scan your barcode to see how old your phone is!) Thanks mtn, couldve said that in the email and saved me time and money! Useless!!!
