On 22 Sep 2012 I went to the Vodacom Shop in Greenstone to do a sim swop as I was changing from a Blackberry to an iPhone. The consultant, Jason, issued my new micro sim card for the iPhone, and cancelled the sim used in the Blackberry.
I asked him to cancel the BlackBerry BIS service as i obviously wouldn't need it anymore. This was not done.
I asked him to activate a MyMeg 250 on my contract for data use on the iPhone. This was not done.
As a result of this, over a 2 month period I was overcharged for data usage (which was billed as pay-as-you-use) and the BIS subscription by R465.27
A full summary was sent to the store manager, Morne, who has promised on several occasions to rectify the over-billing. I have phoned Morne quite a few times and also e-mailed him twice in this regard with no response.
The R465.27 may not seem like a lot to Vodacom as a company, but it is to me and I would like this amount refunded to me due to the consultant's negligence.
Imagine every Vodacom customer was out of this amount of money... it would certainly add up.
