On 14/01/2013 I spoke to someone from the upgrades dept. to change my contract as my current one was nearing expiry date. I decided to get a Blackberry 9790, which I was told is R2639, but is on special. I changed to a TopUp 135 contract and asked the lady if my BIS charges would be coming off my air-time, which she said "yes". I even phoned accounts dept. after to confirm BIS would be deducted from my air-time. Unlucky for me, I did not know I was being l ied too and did not get their details. The upgrades dept sent me the Upgrade Equip Quote (No. 7191916) which I completed and emailed to them. On the quote they clearly stipulate the phone price is R2314.91 incl. VAT. I assumed this is the special price.

Jan, Vodacom took R3111 off my bank acct (R2639 phone, R472 calls), now that I am querying the amount, Customer care says they cant help me as their system shows the R2314 is the amnt excl. VAT and not incl. They refuse to allow me to email my proof (the accepted quote) and said I must sort it out with upgrades dept. When I was put to upgrades, the call got cut.

I am also being charged separately for my BIS R59 x 2 on TopUp contracts and am now told I have no choice
to do this.
