Upgrade/migration not processed/activated

I called the upgrades department on 18/12/2012 in order to upgrade from Blackberry contract to iPhone contract. The consultant advised that the upgrade will be processed and the phone will be delivered. The phone was delivered on 19/12/2012.

I got an sms on 07/01/2013 to say the upgrade/migration will only be activated by the end of January 2013. This puts me at a disadvantage because i am using an iPhone with a Blackberry contract. Which means no free data, different call rates etc. So my bill may potentially be much less if the upgrade was activated.

I've been a client of Vodacom for about ten years and done numerous upgrades/migrations. This has never happened before. The upgrades get done almost immediately.

I've called the call centre and updgrades department with no luck. Then i went into the vodacom store in Canal Walk, the lady that helped me said the system was offline and she will log the details later but have heard nothing since.

I would like this error to be corrected as well as my bill.
