Vodacom
No help from Vodacom

I had problems with my Blackberry Curve, when charging. I took the phone in to the Vodacom Brooklyn Centre and gave the phone to 1 of the technicians who informed me that they cannot fix the phone and that it had to be sent to the Pretoria Central repair shop. I was also told that the repair shop will phone me before any repairs would be done? The repair centre received the phone on Thursday, 14/02/2013. On Tuesday, 18/02/2013 I received an sms to say that the phone is back at the Brooklyn shop and I can collect it. The person at the Brooklyn shop, Mapula, who helped me, informed me that the phone was "beyond economical repair" and that Vodacom will not fix the phone because it is not economical beneficial for them to do it. I should take the phone to one of the "Indiers" who will fix it for R180 - R200. I took the phone to a small cellphone repair shop, who fixed it in 1 day. I have been a customer of Vodacom since 1998 and on a rough calculation i worked out that i have spent more than R55 000 with Vodacom. Them not wanting to fix a small problem of R180 for a customer of over 15 years, is absurd, shameful and absolutely disgusting to me.
