I have been battling with my daughters cell (it is on my contract) - she dropped the phone and the screen smashed. We sent it in to the repair shop in Eastgate. After awhile, and not having heard a word from them, I called in. I was told they had no record of the cell phone being handed in for repair. My daughter then visited the repair shop and after ranting and raving the phone was miraculously found. My daughter was told to come back to the repair shop, pick up a piece of paper of sorts, take it to the Vodacom shop and the Blackberry would be replaced as the damage was irreparable. I, being the account holder, called into the Vodacom shop and spent an hour and a half in the shop while an assistant, Simon, tried to contact Vodasure. Eventually we managed to get hold of someone and were told we cant get a new phone - we have to pick up a refurbished one from a shop somewhere else in Eastagate. Why do we pay insurance? My daughter still doesnt have a phone and after about 16yrs as a Vodacom customer.. I am ready to give up! By the way this is the 2nd time I am on HelloPeter - no response to the first.
