I have been a loyal client for many years.i had the Blackberry bold 9700 something and got it last year sometime. the phone used to freeze alot and i took it to a few MTN stores and they said theyve actually had complaints about it. My speaker used to stop working from time to time and i decided to give it in to be repaired. i gave it in on Thursday, 7 Feb. I get a call on Fri the 15th of Feb from the repair centre saying that I have to pay in R 1100 due to a small little crack on the head of the phone and Blackberry doesnt fix phones and so on... I didnt ask for the phone to be replaced and its not my problem that Blackberry doesnt repair phones and just replaces. I get told by the lady that they will do me a favour & do a software upgrade but cant guarantee that the speaker will be fixed..WHAT??? How dare you? i then send an email for someone to call me and I am still waiting.sounds like they have enough money and customers to care about this. I want someone to repair/replace my phone asap & give me a call if you want me to explain. I work in the hospitality industry and we have about 300 contracts in total across SA with MTN which my MD is now definietly going to move to Vodacom.
