VODACOM A HEARTLESS COMPANY TOWARDS IT’S CUSTOMERS

I took a renewable (after two years I'd take an upgrade and continue with the payments of the account as per the contract) account from Vodacom, . I was paying an amount of R460.00 per month.

I lost the sim card that was linked to the contract, after a month of loosing the sim card I got a call from Vodacom notifying me that the sim card was being used and I was owing the amount of R6 000 at the time (May 2012). I told the consultant that I do not use the sim card in question, and it should be closed immediately to avoid any further increments on the account.

The consultant assured me that the sim card was closed and the she'll escalate the account to the investigations department. The money continued to accumulate after the lady from Vodacom said that the account was closed. Now I'm being told that I owe an amount of R14, 000 and I really do not understand. What kind of accountability processes does Vodacom have in place? if their consultants to us as customers.

I'm deeply disappointed and angry at Vodacom because I have been a loyal customer to the company but now I feel like I am being robbed and the company is being unfair and selfish towards me.
