Moving and Upgrading Disaster!!!

In 2010 I got a contract under my father's name and finally decided to upgrade my phone as I now have a full-time job and my own bank account. I went to Brooklyn Vodashop with the required documentation and sat for nearly 1.5 hours while they entered it into the system, only to be told that I don't have a credit rating and I'm not able to get the contract moved. I then asked them if it would go through if my father stood surety for me and they told me no. I left and the next day went to Woodlands Vodashop. They checked on their system and the transfer had been accepted but they couldn't help me finalise it as it is locked to the Brooklyn branch. I went back to Brooklyn to finalise the contract. I told them I wanted to upgrade to the Sony Xperia Z1. I was informed that my portfolio had to be increased and it would take 24 hours. The next day I was told this was not possible due to not having a credit rating. Apparently surety is still not an option either. I told them to cancel my contract and was then told my number would not be allowed on a contract anywhere for 6 months. All I want is to upgrade to the Sony Xperia Z1 and have it on my name. How can this be so difficult?!!!
