I upgraded my cellphone contract to a sony waterproof handset around august 2013. On january 1 2014 i decided to take underwater pictures as i was told the phone can withstand the water upto 30 minutes, having taken thorough precautions to make sure that its properly sealed, i then immersed my phone underwater for less than two minutes and took a couple of shots. i was impressed with my underwater captured moments. a couple of hours later the unit just died on me, at first i thought maybe the battery is low and needs to be charged, i tried that in vain. on the 2nd of january i then booked it at vodaworld repair centre. it took about 25 days for vodacom to tell me they cannot repair nor replace it under warranty as it is liquid damaged. i am so distressed and actually hate vodacom's service with passion.
