The Sony Xperia Z was designed to be 1 metre water resistant for up to 30 minutes. It is advertised to take pictures underwater. When I tried to take a picture underwater the phone froze and never came on. I made sure all the flaps where properly closed. Now Sony says they don't cover liquid damage. How can the warranty be void if the phone was correctly used?
