IMessage still not activated

I received an iPhone from Cell C in January. After waiting for the sim swap to happen I started using my iPhone and tried to activate iMessage which keeps saying unsuccessful activation (Just for my phone number, email addresses work fine). In my previous iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s it has activated fine. Just to clarify I am an iOS developer so I do know how these things work. After calling Cell C 6 times and receiving 6 different stories and 6 times saying I will get an SMS with an update I still have not heard anything and my iMessage is still not activated. It is ridiculous that I have to keep calling only to speak to some one that never follows up and never has a solution.

I am very disappointed and off with the service by Cell C
