Don't Port To Telkom Mobile. IPhone Problems

The following was posted on HeloPeter on 13/03/2013 without any success. It is a month later and NO ONE, NO ONE has even phoned me. The 8ta/Telkom Social Media Team is also a joke. They just email random garbage every week to calm me down. Nothing has been done so far. Please people, don't port to Telkom Mobile!!!

Yes, my IPhone has got the latest update and software installed. Please don't ask me this question again.

Ported from Vodacom to 8ta. I am still unable to activate my IMessage or Facetime via my cellphone number. 8ta call centre no help at all. I get the idea they don't even know what IMessage or Facetime is. So after a bit emailing them I get the following reply: (Note the spelling)

Dear Mr

Please note that you can only activate your face time and imassage with your email address and not with a phone number. not its only apple to apple.

What now??

Dear 8ta

It works like this: iMessage sends a hidden SMS to a short code to register the phone number. Since that SMS message never gets out, the phone number registration process can never complete. I am also not able to rent any movies via the DSTV Box Office SMS system.
