I had just spoken to the most arrogant call center agent for MTN. My account billing went up from 399 to 2900. I queried the amount with two call center agent each of them give me different answers. Guess what they both worked in the accounts department as call center agents why am not surprised. Well, first call center agent was telling us there was amount outstanding for 475 and this was why the amount escalated to 2900. The second agent confirmed that I have no amount outstanding at all and this was for data usages. I have a statement form MTN that show that the account was in the rears for 60 days. Keagan assured me on a recorded call that my account was not in the rears before the 21/10/13 and that the data was charged from the 21/10/2013 until the 21/11/13. So we paid the first amount of 475 as instructed by the first consultant.(so by the way she just disappeared form mtn) I still have a questions? If you over your limit with data don't they like Vodacom and respectable service providers soft lock your account to let you know are close or over the limit?
Well MTN blocks your cell phone, you have to phone them from a land line which you pay for just to be laid to!!!
