Before i rant, i must say that the call center staff were as helpful and courteous as possible.

BUT...

On Saturday afternoon, I reactivated my DSTV account. The helpful call center agent told me that i'd have to pay R500 (cant remember the exact amount) odd (pro rata) for the month of feb. cool no problem.

Today (Monday) i got a message on the PVR reminding me to pay my bill of R490.37 and a once off re-connection fee of R50.00 (R540.37 total). no problem,

I called the help center to get my customer number, and whilst waiting on hold the robot man suggested i SMS 31401 to get my balance. so out of boredom i did. The SMS said i had to pay R517.41 - a different amount to the Mail message.

Once i got though, I asked the help center the amount - R594.51. ANOTHER DIFFERENT AMOUNT. Whilst I was on the phone I accessed [URL Removed] and checked the account balance. R590.00.

I asked the call center which was the correct amount, and they hadn't the foggiest. She recommended I pay the Mail message amount (which i did)

SERIOUSLY MULTICHOICE?

Can't you get your (obviously) garbage back end systems to talk?!

My DSTV is still not on
