BB 9900 within 2 yr warranty period, freezing, trackball & touch screen wouldn't work. Went to Vodacom Cust Care in Eastgate, 20th Feb. The 24th, sms received esti quote to repair R1, 252-35. 25th Feb, gave the go ahead but will claim thru Vodacom Insurance. Claim form submitted 27th Feb. FF Mon & Tues queried bout collection, 2 my amazement they were offline & would return my call. Surprisingly, no phone call. Tues pm, called to follow up, and was told that the phone was beyond repair due to water damage! Really! Why? Cos I was claiming thru insurance. Was advised I have a limit of R2, 500 to get a new phone. I've been a client for over 15 yrs & only have a limit of R2, 500. Advised to go Vodacom to collect new phone on the Fri to sign 2 forms. Back to Eastgate to collect the "beyond repairable phone" which took staff 15mins to find. Anyway, the Fri I was back 2 collect the new phone, forms signed & was told to pay R835 excess! Needless to say my phone is working 100% thanks Smartlab (R685 & no water damage) vs R1, 252-35 & a beyond repairable phone. You will be paying me R685. Vodacom sort out your nonsense, you will be losing more clients, you don't care about your clients
