I have never in all my years received such bad service from an MTN call centre, i recently upgraded my cellphone contract via MTN direct, I call the 808 call centre to get a sim swap to my new micro sim, the lady that first got my call, told me that they were unable to assist me and I'd have to go to my nearest MTN outlet. I get to MTN in Benmore gardens and they tell me I have to go to Morningside to get assistance and they cannot assist with MTN direct clients. I then call 808 back and the consultant I got through to said that the activations dept would be able to assist me without me even having to go to any branch, I'm then transferred to the activation dept where a young man with a deep voice takes my call, he first tells me he is unable to assist me because I am driving then cuts the call. At this point I'm angry beyond measure I call the call centre again and the same young man with a deep voice answers the phone, he was so rude and condescending and I could not believe my ears.
I don't think this is what MTN expects from the employee's and it's sure not what I expected as a loyal MTN client.
