I have a contract (casual chat 100) with Cell C which cost R150 a month. I took it in 2011/07/29 and its suppose to expire this year in July. All was well until I received a call last year in august saying I owe R2820.91, I was shocked and told them that I'm not even using the Simcard as I have lost it. Then they said I should have asked them to block it, so I asked them to block it then in august. I asked them to explain the amount and they said I bought BIS and 3GB Data bundles, I told them I did not and asked them to check the details of the BIS. They said they cannot trace the info of the person buying all these things. So I made some payments but the amount kept on going up and I was not receiving any statement. When I asked why they said it's because I have blocked the Simcard. I got a call last year in august from Cell C legal department saying my line has been terminated and I must pay the remaining amount. I phoned Cell C this year January to find out how much I'm owing and wanted to settle the account, to my surprise I found out that they are still billing me for the BIS and data bundles whereas they said they have blocked the Simcard in august last year. How??
