Cable - No Feedback - What is happening?

Good Day,

This concerns my residential landline which has a ADSL service linked to it.

On the 29th October in Hanover Park, the Telkom cables were and I logged a call with Telkom. I have since then phoned the call centre and emailed, trying to find out how far they are in the repairs. I have received sms's but it only states the following - Following message sent to 0820765916: Telkom is aware of a cable related fault on your line. We are investigating all available options to restore your service. Your reference number is 619CWK291013.'Sent Mon Dec 23 15:06:06 SAST 2013"

When I try calling the call centre then the phones rings for at least 40 min before an agent answers then only to state that "they" are working on it.

It is now the 9th of Jan - last communication was on the 23 Dec. I need to know exactly what is happening with this call please, I need internet and because Telkom didn't inform me to cancel the faulty line for 2 months I had to pay ADSL rental without any services.
