In June 2013 I took out a contract for 1G data and Samsung tablet, when collecting the tablet I realised that the box seal had been broken. I told Mpho who was helping me that i dont want to take delivery, however she had already activated the account. I was told to wait for stock but stock was not delivered for over 2 months, in the meantime MTN debited my account for R 360.60 yet i did not have the tablet. Mpho cancelled the contract and gave me reference number 2473442. I was told the R360 would be reversed within a month, this happened in July 2013 and to date i have not received the credit. In September 2013 I subsequently took out another contract with MTN at the Eastgate branch and got my tablet immediatley as I had waited too long for stock at the Standardbank Simmonds street branch.
In October I logged a call with MTN customer services asking for the refund because Mpho was no longer returning my calls or emails. Ref REQ:2794099 / REQ:2547160. I was promised a refund within 30 days into my MTN account. This has still not happened.
