BEWARE VODACON! Do not agree to any telephonic sales from people claiming to be be from Vodacom selling you add-ons to existing packages. Vodacom gives these people very detail of your account down to the last detail, and then refuse to help you when it goes wrong.
I was called by "Vodacom" as they noted I was using more data per month than my bundle, and thus paying out of bundle rates. For R119/m I could have an extra 1GIG on my account per month. This made sense and I agreed. A WIFI modem and SIM card was delivered to me, which I assumed was a second card on my account. This has never been opened.
When my bill came I have been charged R800 out of bundle data. When I queried this I was told that in fact this was a new contract and not linked to my existing line.
Nobody can sort this out. Vodacom has a sales dept., and aftersales dept., customer care, accounts, and something called rewards dept. I have spoken to all of them, been given a reference number, been told 2 days later that Vodacom don't use reference numbers.
I have since been told that the data is on a separate contract and cannot be transferred to my line. What rubbish.
