3G Data Counters not accurate

I have a 3g contract with vodacom. As I use it I constantly check to see if I have data left. On 28/12/2013 13:11 I checked and saw that I still have 305 MB carry over data left so I stopped using the 3G card and removed it from my modem. This morning when I try and use it I get messages from Vodacom dated the 28/12/2013 around three in the afternoon stating that my bundle is depleted and that out of bundle rates apply and then that I have exceeded my R50 voluntary call block on the line and that the line has been soft blocked which would have been fine but when I checked my account it was R180 charged for out of bundled rates. I know that vodacom is going to give me some excuse that they can't be held responsible and that the data counters isn't updated as I use it etc etc. Funny though that prepaid data counters will never go over. But thats beside the point this is a warning to anyone considering taking out a 3g contract with Vodacom, they make money out of you going out of bundle so they will never warn you in time that your bundle is depleted.
