Unable to convert contact to prepaid

So, I have been trying since the 2 December 2013 to convert 2 of our company numbers to prepaid.
I have heard every excuse under the sun and been to I so many times I cannot recall.
What has brought me to this point, yesterday after mountains of incompetence I was absolutely assured that the numbers would be converted today. I even queried, it's a Saturday, will it happen on a Saturday? The answer, "yes". WELL IT DID NOT!
So again I call in to be told there is nothing they can do till Monday because the cancellations department does not work over a weekend.
Here is my impression. Vodacom will do their best to give one the run a round for long enough so that they will give up on converting their numbers to prepaid, because this is the first step to have them transferred to another provider!
I wonder how many other people have experienced the same problem?
