I went to the mtn store in East Rand Mall to upgrade my contract phone, all was going well and the mtn personal were friendly and helpful as always.
Upon nearing the end of the renewal process, the attendant required my attention whilst signing the card transaction slip, and when i turned back my phone was gone (the old phone - an iPhone 4) I asked the mtn attendant if she saw what happened, and she said - no, sorry i didnt see anything. I immediately asked to see the camera footage but was told there were no camera's in the store and no security personal either!
I left the store, contacted the service provider to establish what mtn was willing to do about the incident... the friendly person said that she would mail her supervisor to attend to the matter personally. To date im still waiting for that call. This happened on Thursday 24/01/2013, i called on friday again only to get the same response. So i left it till the following week tuesday, only to be told that mtn takes no responsibility for within the store, even if there is a they take no responsibility. In a nut shell i was told that the problem is mine alone.
Mtn has the worst level of service i have seen!
