Last Friday (19/04/2013) I was at Edgars in Clearwater mall. Unfortunately I was pick pocketed and my company cellphone was. I immediately spoke to what seemed to be one of the Edgars supervisors whereby I reported the incident. I asked to check the cameras and was told the camera's rotate and nothing would be seen. So what is the use of these camera's??? Is the staff to lazy to check or they genuinely cannot pick it up because the camera's rotate??? So how do they manage the security in the store? Another lady's cellphone was also from her handbag in the store a few moments before my incident. Is there no sort of control with such matters? There are instances that are unforeseen, hence such measures "cameras" are put into place... Clearly in Edgars the customers/ public safety is of no concern. Its a shame to know that a huge chain store like Edgars cannot beef up their security. I really did not expect such treatment from Edgars. Their so called camera's are of no use and a waste of money in this case.
