Following a port from cell c to vodacom about two weeks ago, I have been unable to receive calls or load airtime onto my new vodacom sim. I have visited 6 different vodacom outlets on multiple occasions, and made countless calls to both customer care and to the stores I have visited, but no-one has been able to solve the problem. Instead, I have been told repeatedly that vodacom is experiencing technical difficulties with the activation of new sim cards/loading of airtime and there is no turnaround time given on this, even after two weeks!! However, I have subsequently purchased another sim, and experienced no problem at all loading airtime or receiving calls. This doesn't help me as I NEED my original number, and I was told that I would be able to retain this following the switch to vodacom.
I would assume that this case is probably the exception rather than the norm for vodacom. However, I need someone to fix this! Is there anyone in Vodacom who can solve my problem?
