I saw what I though was a great deal on Cell C's website [URL Removed] which promised to give me 1GB total data per month on the Straight Up 100 contract, so I called to take it.
After getting and using the handset for a day, I started being charged for data. When I called in to inquire, it was basically made out that either I am a, or the sales consultant that sold the package is dubious; I was asked several times if I had ASKED for the deal and if I was PROMISED that I would get 1GB of data. Surely if that's the deal, then it shouldn't matter if I asked for it or not.. I should just get it?!
Anyway, I was told that they have to pull the sale call recording to confirm if they should stick to the deal or not. I've now waited almost a week, calling in to get an update, and the query is still pending! I'm one day from getting fed up, returning the phone and cancelling the contract. i can get a similar deal elsewhere.
I give Cell C until midday on 12/12/2013 before I go to their offices to return the phone and make a fuss! As a new customer, I certainly don't appreciate this treatment!
