8ta/Telkom Mobile is a nightmare to deal with when it comes to contract cancellation. I called them in September 2013 to cancel my contract because I no longer needed it and the contract had reached 24 months (I have a telkom fixed line internet solution). The call centre asked me to submit a request to [Email Removed] I did this and after about a week their response was "The case has been closed." That to me means the contract has been cancelled. I still, however, had a debit order going off my account. I contacted them in December to find out that my contract was still active. I am unable to speak to anyone in cancellations through the call centre which is very frustrating. I have emailed [Email Removed] again with no response.
If I cancel my debit order through my bank they could probably blacklist me. I wish there was an official way to blacklist them for this nonsense.
