I had a 8TA data bundle (10Gb per month). the contract expired September 2013 and I phoned Telkom mobile in August to cancel the contract as I installed ADSL line. They said that they do not do cancellations over the phone anymore. Funny enough is that they do registrations (new) contracts over the phone. anyway, went into the branch here in witbank to cancel. when getting there, they said they MUST have the green barcoded ID of mine. I got the form for cancellation from them. I completed the form that Monday and emailed it to the email address that is on the form. This was done on the 19 August 2013. later that month I went to my bank Absa, and cancelled the debit order for Telkom Mobile. As I know most companies ignore requests, just as long as they can get one extra month of money still out of you. To my surprise, the debit order did not go through the end of the month and I was contacted by Telkom mobile later to say I owe them money. Mentioned about the cancellation, and he said then it was fine as he did not know that. 2 months down the line, I got debited R600 b y Telkom mobile. So now nobody can help. Absa bank nor Telkom mobile. You bank account is NOT save.
