Nano sim not activated

Hi

I started a new contract for the iPhone 5s today. This required a sim swap. I wast old this would be done by 5pm and I could use the phone. However my old sim is no longer working and the nano sim does not work either. I do not have any other means of communication now. I was told this would be sorted out by now
