We were promised a new tower to sort out the signal and network coverage issues in our area. Initially, we received an update every few weeks, but have not received feedback in months. The signal has gone from bad to worse, despite the fact that the cell tower is only a few blocks away. Our phones don't even ring any more, they go straight to 121 and it costs us money to return calls. The last bout of wind and bad weather appears to have affected the antennas in such a way that where we were able to receive and make some calls in our home, this is now impossible.
Please Vodacom, there are a large number of people in our area that support you, the very least you can do is maintain the signal - or better still, give us the new tower you promised a year ago.
