After intermittent problems with my Blackberry I took it to Vodacom, Gateway. I was told to come back in 4 hours to collect it. What a waste of time as I still have the same problems with date and time. Software?
Second issue: A 24 month modem contract for a modem that doesn't work. I requested Vodacom Gateway to add a modem to my account as I needed connectivity immediately. There was no time for Fica regulations etc. I signed the papers they put in front of me without reading that it was a 24 month contract which I don't need, plus I found out it didn't activate immediately - which I wasn't told. This modem has only worked twice in the 6 months I've had it so I took it to Gateway to resolve it. First Technician said she couldn't do anything I must hand it in. When I did this I was told to come back in an hour. After an hour it was given back to me as they could do nothing about it. No solution offered but I sit with a 24 month contract for something I don't need, plus the aggravation of trying to make work. It's also a lack of respect of a client's time - service from a service provider takes on a new meaning! I asked for the Manager but was left waiting.
