MTN looses phone and I have to pay

I was contacted by summer mobile regarding a mobile phone package. The telemarketer described the phone as a Samsung Galaxy.

When the package arrived on the 31st October 2013 opened it only to discover that it is the Galaxy pocket, not the phone that was described to me. I left the mobile box sealed. I phoned MTN who told me to take the complete package with paperwork to the nearest MTN Store who will then cancel the deal.

I took the package back on the 1st of November 2012 to the MTN store in Middelburg mall, Mpumalanga.

I was not even greeted by the personnel. Very unfriendly staff. There were three other people that day in the store who was not happy about the service. We waited for almost an hour before we were helped. The person who helped us, Tulani Mabena, did not really know how to use the program and the manager assisted. I told him what happened. He took the package and told me "ok its fine". I told him that I need a receipt. He told me that the system does not give a receipt, the manager agreed. He said that MTN will not cancel the deal without them having the phone and paperwork back. He said MTN will contact me regarding cancelling the deal.
