I recently upgraded my Talk 1200 contract with MTN which on average costs me R1900 a month at the moment excluding my 2 years prior to that of a R2500 monthly bill paid to MTN.
I recently got the Sony Experia Z ("Water Resistant amazing phone") marketed well by both MTN and Sony, unfortunately within the first 20 days of getting the phone it began to give me issues.
I struggled daily with MTN to get through to the correct department to assist me on my steps to follow to rectify the issues.
However it came down to "VODACOM" who directed me to the MTN repair store, where I was informed that my phoned would not be repaired under Warranty as it had water damage not due to the sockets being open but small grazes on the corners allowing water in, MTN then told me even though I am a Loyal Valued Customer it is my duty to get Sony to Fix it.
Sorry for my ignorance but being a client for over 10 years and paying MTN for a phone and service I can not use surely is not acceptable.
MTN when you read this please give me a call and tell me how you are going to retain me, if you don't have the answers don't worry I will phone "VODACOM" again sure they will want to help.
