I am finding it so difficult just to cancel my mtn cellphone contract. I sent an email to customer care and even to their webmaster to cancel, so I have on file a copy of intent to terminate my contract. I then get told that i have to call in the day after my contract expires. I read on their on their website that I have to give 30 days notice to cancel my contract . i call the mtn call centre on 03/12/13 which is the date my contract expires .the guy i spoke to said that its done and i just need to call back the next day to keep my number on prepaid . i call today and find out that my contract hasnt been cancelled and i need to call the cancellation dept . i then wait half an hour to speak to someone!!! this is unnaceptable . all the other cellphone service porviders make it so easy to cancel when your term is up . mtn needs to play catch up with them
