ACTIVATION OF SIM CARD

I purchased a contract from mtn and the number has been activated but not rica'd, because the sim still shows SOS in the device, correct me if im wrong but shudnt the simcard have been rica'd already and just given to me there after, i have spoken to the sales agent bradley marian from innovation centre said he'll rica it for me and when i emailed him again he just said that his waiting for confirmation, i dont blame him for this but i thnk that some where somehow someone should have told me that i either need to rica it at a rica site or something . and its been almost three days without being able to use the sim, can you please activate it for me .please contact me on the contact number below.
