On Sunday morning, 27 Oct, I noticed that my phone gave an error "Sim not provisioned:2). I phoned Vodacom helpdesk and was instructed to buy a new simcard as mine was faulty. Upon buying the sim card I phoned Vodacom again and was then informed that I requested a contract. I explained that I was on prepaid and never requested a contract. The agent then told me that they will fix it. After about 7 hrs I got an sms to say that I was transferred back to prepaid. I phoned Vodacom on Monday, 28 Oct to inform them that my bis was still off. I was asked to phone the legal department. I phoned them and was given ref I0821363. I was told to sent an affidavit along with my ID to say that I did not apply for the contract as they need to investigate a case. I faxed the doc. to 011 546 8418 and 011 546 8888. I phoned back later the afternoon for feedback and was informed that I have to wait 14 working days. I explained that my bis wasn't working and the lady I spoke to informed me that I forfeited all credits due to the change to contract. I tried to explain that I didnt apply for the contract and therefore cannot be penalised. Her answer was that this is procedure.
