Refused to do a sim swap

I went into Vodacom Clear Water this morning and asked for a sim swap. The assistant said "Sorry Mam, we're out of stock. But if you go around the corner to CelluCity they will have sim cards" (this is a standard sim card).
The assistant at CelluCity told me that the Vodacom store did indeed have sim cards but were refusing to assist it's own customers because they make no commission out of a sim swap. CelluCity called the manager of the Vodacom store and spoke to him, and sent me back to the Vodacom store.
When I got back to Vodacom, they then only did a sim swap for me.
What a nerve, to to your own customers and tell them that you are "out of stock" because you are too lazy to help them. DISGUSTING SERVICE!
