I have a cellphone contract with Bayport Financial Services on the Vodacom network. I requested a sim swap and I was told to go to a Vodacom store with all the relevant documents and they did the sim swap for me. Unfortunately the sim card only worked for one day. When I enquired with Bayport about why this is so, I was told that someone else did a sim swap with my documents at a Vodacom store hence the sim card in my possession was no longer working and someone else was using the sim card on my name and getting all my airtime. I assume either a Vodacom or Bayport employee did the sim swap on my name, behind my back becaus both companies have my personal documentation. The amount of airtime that was used by this unknown person is R216. I am now asking Bayport to refund this amount of airtime onto my new simcard but they refuse to do so. I call that pathetic service, please be aware when u deal with Bayport Fin services, if my personal documents can be used to do a sim swap who knows what other they can do with a client's personal documents.
