I needed to do a SIM swap. It took three visits.
1. Vodacom shop upstairs in Cavendish, next to Nedbank - said they needed an affidavit which is not true
2. Vodacom shop upstairs in Cavendish, next to Nedbank - said they could not do a SIM swap I had to phone 100
3. Phoned 100 about a 20 minute hassle of unnecessary questions - they said they'd made the swap
4. Swap failed. Phoned 100 spoke to manager who said she'd look into compensation but never got back
5. Vodacom shop downstairs in Cavendish. Did SIM swap, 10 minutes. Worked. End.
Why are the experiences so different? It cost me R70 at the second shop. The cost to me of the first shop getting it wrong as about R400. Total cost to me of SIM swap R470. Why?
