I found out that I was due for an upgrade on my MTN contract. I however, have not been happy with the costs of cellphone calls from MTN, as they seemed to have pushed up their costs since their original contracts I took out over 15 years ago.
I contacted MTN Direct, and asked them if they had any Iphone 5's on promotion, to which I was told that they don't have stock, but that they will contact me when they do receive stock.
To my surprise, I was contacted by Isaac from MTN, who informed me that he has an IPHONE 5 in stock for me and that I need to decide right now if I'd like to have the cellphone. I responded immediately that I would like the phone, and he told me that he would do my upgrade to a MTN200 Anytime Contract with 250MB of data, all for a total cost of R529 per month.
I recieved my phone and a surprise R1000 change in contract fee as I changed from a MTN350 to a MTN200 contract. Never was I informed of this cost. When I phoned in yesterday, I was told that I have to go online and log a complaint and MTN do not handle telephonic complaints. I duly complained, and have had no response.
MTN, please don't from your clients to pay bribes to obtain DEALS!!!
