I decided to check up on how far my contract with tablet is so that I can change my contract into a data only contract and get a Macbook with FNB. the salesperson informed me that I was due for renewal for a couple of months already and MTN should have notified me. I accept the fact that it is my responsibility too to keep record of my contracts.
When the salesperson asked my why I don't want to get a device and told him that I'm thinking of getting the notebook, he informed me that MTN is running a promotion whereby you get the MacbookPro with data for a very competitive price. To my surprise to sign up for this deal they told me that they don't carry stock and that it should be ordered from head office and will take up to two weeks. I asked them to order it before my next debit order.
After following up after week two, they have informed me that no stock is available. They said that I should give it another week or two. When I phoned again today, bearing in mind that I have just paid another monthly installment for the contract with an already paid for device, there is still no stock. Why have a promotion if you don't have stock? Will I be reimbursed for the over payment?
