I went to the MTN office in Morningside to get my new upgrade. I chose an iPhone 5 and was told that a sim swap would need to take place. I connected to wifi while I waited and I am horrified to see that a Gmail account that IS NOT MINE BUT SOMEONE ELSE'S is linked to this phone!!! how could this happen? Clearly not a new phone!
The call centre agent told me that its because my SIM card is not RICa compliant- it's a new SIM card on a 11 yeR contract.
I will not accept this. I want a brand new phone which I am paying for and I need this SIM swap sorted immediately
